Picnic Spots : Jawhar

This is  perfect place to chill out in the arm of nature. Place takes 4-5 hours from Mumbai by Bus. Places to visit are Sunset point, Haweli, Hunuman tekdi, Sun set Point , Dhabosa and Kal Mandvi in rainy season etc.

The palace was build by Raje Yashwant Rao Maukne.The stone used for this is syinite which was brought from Kalidhond which is 5 km away from its location.It was said that the waork of palace was complited the quary of stone was dumped and now from the geological department of India the survay was taken to find out the quary .The palace is a master piece of pink stone.There is a beautiful garden must be called forest having plants of Kaju everywhere

Kal Mandavi: It is the 100 meter heightst natures miracle.the waterfall is for 365 days. It is a natural waterfall whole beauty will enthrall you.one of the best known spots for trekking,rock climbing and even rappelling.

By Air : Nearest airport is Mumbai.

By Rail : Nearest railhead is Igatpuri, 61 kms. on Central Railway but Nashik is a more convenient railhead. On Western Railway, nearest railhead is Dahanu, 65 kms.

By Road : Mumbai-Jawhar, 180 kms. via Kasara-Khodala, Mumbai-Jawhar, 166 kms. via Kasara. Nashik-Jawhar, 80 kms. Kasara-Jawhar, 39 kms. Trimbakeshwar-Jawhar, 56 kms.

State Transport buses ply from Mumbai, Thane and Nashik to Jawhar

This is the ultimate place to go in rainy season. Jummapatti is on the way to Matheran. You can get down at Neral station and take auto to the place. Full day you can enjoy in naturally created water fall (Dhabdaba)  in rainy season. Good and safe place for group having kids and family.
